Overview Of Position
The role of a Customer Care Specialist is a key position within Assurant as the voice of the organization and clients. You are the primary point of contact, providing excellent customer service. Customer experience is a top priority, requiring listening, problem-solving, and patience to help customers find resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Handle inbound calls from customers, resolving loan-level inquiries in hazard insurance, mortgage banking, and property loss.
Listen to customer concerns with empathy and resolve issues.
Take initiative to understand customer challenges, solve them, and proactively prevent future issues.
Participate in special projects, assume new responsibilities, and adjust priorities as requested.
Complete paid training to learn business systems, policies, and effective customer engagement.
Requirements
Minimum high school diploma or GED
At least 2 years of prior customer-facing experience
Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to WOW customers on every call, think outside the box, and own the customer’s problem
Adaptability in a fast-paced environment and ability to multi-task using technology
Paid comprehensive training required for optimal learning experience

Work Schedule
Full-time, 7 days a week, including holidays
Schedules set for several months but subject to change based on business needs
Flexibility required to work varying schedules throughout the year
Salary And Benefits
Pay range: $15.86 - $24.59 based on experience, education, and certifications
