Overview

Securitas is hiring Security Officers for full-time positions in Dekalb, IL. Officers will be stationed at various site locations and must have open availability. Securitas employees come from diverse backgrounds, united by core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Wage: $19.50/hour

Job Responsibilities

• Secure entrances and exits and maintain a professional presence

• Conduct patrols both inside and outside client premises in various weather conditions

• Interact frequently with client employees and guests

• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity

• Protect evidence or secure scenes during accidents, emergencies, or security investigations

• Set up barriers/signage and provide guidance or information to others

• Perform site-specific tasks as assigned

• Apply conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• High school diploma or GED, or ability to complete GED within 6 months

• Standard computer/technology skills

• Customer service experience preferred

• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus

• Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of individuals

• Strong attention to detail and vigilance throughout shifts

• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment

• Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening, including drug testing and background check
