Work Schedule: Monday – Saturday

Position Summary

New Accounts will assist in providing consistent customer service, handle customers banking needs, assist in demonstrating Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations, provide teller support when necessary.

Essential Functions

Demonstrate excellent customer service.

Open new deposit accounts and provide ongoing support for those accounts.

Work a teller drawer when needed.

Provide guidance and/or training to other New Account personnel.

Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in handling customers.

Answer correspondence via phone, email, fax in timely fashion

Proactively resolve customers issues or disputes while elevating complex issues to branch management.

Follow up with customers to ensure they are still in the accurate products and service.

Process all new account transactions and maintenance including deposit accounts and CDs.

Perform customer online, bill pay, and e-statement setups.

Open, change, and close safe deposit boxes

Handle 401K and IRAs to FCN Bank from other institutions

Service debit cards not limited to activate, close, increase limits, and add vacation notifications.

Order and re-order customer checks when requested.

Perform change of address, name changes, account closing, stop payments, and transfers.

Follow procedures on deceased customer files.

Process credit card applications and provide underwriting results to customer, if applicable

Maximize customer satisfaction and minimize customer banking issues.

Understand and follow applicable laws and regulations for your job responsibilities, including but not limited to Equity Bank Business Ethics and Conduct Policy, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-money Laundering, Information Security, Suspicious Activity Reporting required, policies, and procedures.

Follow deposit account opening procedures and internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as appropriate for this position.

Actively work with branch management to understand each customer’s normal account activity, as appropriate for each person

Any additional tasks requested by the supervisor.

Skills & Abilities

Experience and/or Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Previous Retail Banking Experience Preferred.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
