Summary:
Greet, assist and direct patients and hospital visitors. Determine visitor eligibility and issues visitor passes. Monitor emergency alarms and responds by making emergency announcements using an overhead paging system and two-way radio. Notify appropriate personnel/outside agencies (EMS, etc.) of codes and emergencies so immediate action can be taken. Perform routine clerical duties such as checking census in computer, completing standard forms, answering phones, accepting deliveries of supplies and flowers, etc. When serving as a courier, pick up and deliver hospital mail, specimens, supplies, equipment, other items and personnel among corporate entities, and Regency Center for Women & Infants. Modify routine schedule to meet emergency requests as necessary. Transport patients between Winter Haven Hospital and Regency Center for Women & Infants via hospital vehicle. Relieve staff member serving as receptionist for meal break and as requested.
