NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Mid-Level Web Developer based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.


This person is responsible for building and making improvements to the company’s digital platforms including the website, mobile app, and a variety of other public facing digital propertes.

  • Duties include but are not limited

  •  to:Manage the development assignments created through Platform Priorities and communicated by weekly scrums to efficiently update code to the website code b
  • ase.Work with Operations team to write code that supports our associated databases, data sources and dependencies, workflow, information architecture, and legacy systems currently in product
  • ion.Design and test HTML, CSS, and JavaScript both with and without the use of the jQuery library, and maintain an understanding of jQuery plugins as starting points for component developm
  • ent.Create, build, and test new WordPress Components, Plugins and Custom Theme features or extend previously created components, for simple, intuitive, author editing of pages; write code using 
  • PHP.Utilize deep understanding of existing digital platform including associated databases, data sources and dependencies, workflow, information architecture, and legacy systems currently in product
  • ion.Maintain ownership of new documentation as needed, and evaluate existing documentation for completeness and accur
  • acy.Manage WordPress projects, and be involved in overall site architecture and code deliv
  • ery.Facilitate and participate in the testing of web applications unit and sys
  • tem.Design and code superior technical solutions; enforce coding standa
  • rds.Maintain responsibility for the end-user experience via the interface, sitemap, site architecture, feeds architecture and back-end code functional

  • ence:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from four (4) year college or university; and a minimum five (5) years of current Web Development experience (Server-side and Client-side development); or equivalent combination of education and experi

  • gies.Understanding of web standards and protocols (HTML, CSS, HTTP,
