St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH) is seeking a Casual, Part-Time Mail Service Clerk to support mail operations across two hospital campuses—50 Charlton and CMHS 100 West 5th. This role involves sorting, prioritizing, metering, and delivering incoming and outgoing mail and packages in accordance with established guidelines and deadlines. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Responsibilities

Sort and process large volumes of internal, Canada Post, and courier mail.

Operate and manage digital mail machines, including repairs, downloads, and financial reporting.

Verify addresses and maintain updated mailbox/occupant listings.

Log courier packages, track deliveries, and respond to related inquiries.

Maintain organized and safe work areas.

Collect data for statistical reporting as required.

Provide relief or assistance to other team members as needed.
Qualifications
-
Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.

3–6 months’ experience in a customer service role, with some knowledge of postage meters and mail processing.

Basic proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, email, and spelling.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Physical capability to meet daily job requirements.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Good interpersonal skills and ability to follow instructions.
