Job Description
We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Senior IT Executive – IT Asset Management to lead the IT asset lifecycle management process, oversee the technical support team, and ensure the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure across the organization. This role will involve managing all IT hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance, optimizing asset utilization, and mentoring junior IT support staff.
Responsibilities:
IT Asset Management
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT hardware, software, and peripheral assets.
- Oversee the lifecycle management of IT assets (procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning).
- Ensure asset tagging, documentation, and tracking procedures are strictly followed.
- Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for budgeting and purchasing decisions.
- Evaluate and implement tools for asset tracking and reporting.
- Ensure license compliance and conduct periodic audits for hardware/software usage.
Team Supervision & Support Management
- Lead and mentor the IT support team, including IT Support Executives.
- Delegate tasks and ensure timely resolution of IT support tickets and incidents.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Monitor and improve helpdesk performance and service levels.
- Set up and enforce IT operational policies and SOPs.
Infrastructure Oversight & Project Participation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure upgrades and implementations.
- Manage asset rollouts, office IT setups, and IT resource planning for onboarding/offboarding.
- Research and recommend new technologies, tools, or systems to improve IT efficiency.
- Work closely with vendors and service providers to ensure SLA adherence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Min 4 years of relevant experience in IT support and asset management, with at least 1–2 years in a lead/supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of IT asset lifecycle, licensing models, and compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with asset management tools and ITSM systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networks.
- Excellent leadership, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- ITIL certification or understanding of IT service management principles.
- Experience in managing vendors and hardware procurement.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity basics and data privacy as it relates to asset handling.
