Job Overview
The Response Specialist position will lead the coordination of essential resources for emergency response efforts. This involves actively developing and implementing advanced response plans to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of these efforts.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Build productive internal and external relationships.
  • Receive instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new projects
  • Engage in collaborative research and policy analysis focused on resilience topics, working closely with team members to generate valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that APTIM's emergency management program embodies a comprehensive "whole community" approach, fostering inclusivity and engagement among diverse stakeholders.
  • Provide essential support for stakeholder outreach, coordination, and communication efforts, including assisting in the development of preparedness exercises, training seminars, and client meetings. Additionally, contribute to the administration and logistics coordination for related events.
  • Collect and organize a diverse range of data and information crucial for preparing comprehensive reports and assessments, contributing to informed decision-making in emergency response efforts.
  • Undertake various administrative tasks vital to the efficient functioning of emergency response operations, including scheduling, meeting organization, note-taking, and preparation of meeting materials.
  • Contribute to the creation, editing, and proofreading of documents, including technical reports and other relevant materials, ensuring accuracy and clarity in communication.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Business, Finance or related field.
  • 3-5 years' in Emergency Management Disaster Recovery/Services or similiar
  • Operating with limited use of theories, the Recovery Analyst resolves routine issues by applying company policies and procedures, following standard practices, and receiving specific instructions.
  • Work is closely managed, with contributions primarily focused on assignment-related activities.
  • Openly shares and solicits ideas through dialogue; is clear about intentions.
  • Uses time effectively; anticipates obstacles, adjusts priorities as needs change and keeps others informed of progress.
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Be able to travel
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be adaptable in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $33 - $34.62 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
