We are currently partnering with a nonprofit health insurance company affiliated with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association to hire remote Customer Service Professionals.
About The Role
We are hiring Customer Service Professionals I to support members and providers with benefit, claims, and eligibility inquiries. This is a fully remote, temporary role available to candidates residing in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Utah. The role involves high-volume phone-based interaction and requires empathy, clarity, and accuracy in customer communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information regarding benefits, claims, and eligibility on recorded phone lines
- Deliver professional and empathetic service to members, providers, and third parties
- Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls (80–90% of work is phone-based)
- Represent the company as a primary contact point, contributing to customer retention
- Use web-based tools and internal systems to document and manage customer interactions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of recent customer service experience in a call center or customer-facing environment (healthcare, insurance, banking, or hospital settings preferred)
- Comfortable working in a Windows-based environment using multiple systems
- Experience with Salesforce and/or Radar is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively
