Responsibilities
- Engage in planning firm positioning, market and competitive analysis, client segment selection and marketing plans, and related service line positioning.
- Influence firm culture through internal marketing including employee engagement and environmental changes.
- Direct marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, newsletters, events, market research management, social media, and digital content either directly, through delegation to the Marketing Coordinator or outsourcing.
- Lead the firm’s client experience initiatives to include screening, onboarding, identifying areas for efficiency, and soliciting feedback.
- Use metrics to define the appropriate marketing strategies for the firm’s current position.
- Oversee the firm’s website management, content, search engine optimization and apply key metrices to marketing strategies.
- Work with department leaders to create, support and grow the firm's niche plans.
- Direct and support the firm’s digital marketing strategies.
- Work collaboratively with human resources in human capital initiatives.
- Serve as a firm representative at networking and public events.
- Develop an annual marketing plan that fully ties to the firm’s vision, goals, objectives and strategies and lead the implementation of the plan.
- Develop a firm-wide sales pipeline and manage regular pipeline meetings.
- Develop tracking mechanisms on all marketing efforts and adjust efforts based on success.
- Provide support and coaching to the partners and key leaders and coordinate their marketing and sales activities to support the firm’s growth strategy.
- Managing the firm’s engagement calendar to include sponsorship opportunities.
- Negotiate and maintain firm’s marketing contracts.
- Manages the marketing department budget.
- Other duties as assigned by Partner-in-Charge or other member of the Partner group.
Supervisory Responsibility
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the supervision of the Marketing Coordinator.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree. Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred.
- 5 plus years of relevant marketing experience
- Must be able to work autonomously and manage the workload of others.
- Ability to gather data and make important strategic and spending decisions.
- Must be comfortable and proficient to speak in front of large groups (50+), plus greet and talk with individuals at business and community events as a firm representative
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and techniques, including SEO, and social media marketing.
- Proficiency in marketing software and tools, such as CRM systems and analytics platforms.
- Must demonstrate ability to build trust and confidence from firm leadership and staff, employing a consistently positive attitude
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and knowledgeable in Adobe Suite CS.
- Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with employees, management, current and potential clients, and other industry resources.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines.
The position requires extended periods of sitting or standing at a desk while completing computer or office-based work. The employee occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Vision abilities required include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
Schedule
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, core hours of operation are daytime hours M-F. Some weekends and evening hours may be needed.
Located in Rapid City, SD office. Role may require travel as needed for business purposes, including in town, out of town, and / or overnight.
