The Role of a Marketing, eCommerce & Public Relations Manager
Overview
The Marketing, eCommerce & Public Relations Manager is responsible for supporting the annual strategic and integrated plan that is comprised of eCommerce, digital marketing, public relations, social media and marketing (in-house and B2B/B2C), marketing communications strategies that support the hotel/resort’s business objectives, sales efforts, increase awareness and positive perception of the hotel, leading position in the community, its Food and Beverage outlets, Spa, services and personnel, partnerships and contribute to driving traffic and revenues:
- Supports the Commercial Director/Director of Public Relations in developing and executing a strategic plan including PR, social media and other marketing communications channels and partnerships to support the sales efforts and business objectives of the hotel.
- Executes the resort’s eCommerce and day-to-day digital marketing activities including briefs, SEO, PPC and advertising to ensure messaging and creative is aligned across all platforms. Working closely with agency partners.
- Deploy the creative content strategy as assigned by CD and DPR across multiple owned and earned channels and manage image and reputation management.
- Work closely with operational departments on marketing and promotional items incl. collateral.
- Daily communication with partner agencies (PR, Social Media, Promo Vendors and Printing Houses).
- Actively work with the PRD/CD to manage the resort’s websites (brand and stand-alone) ensuring alignment with the hotels positioning and business objectives through creative story telling. Take the lead on web site updates in terms of images and copy edits.
- Manage Resort’s Image Library with new uploads and removals of old photography.
- Ensure up-to date information on partner and third-party websites for all lines of business, incl. but not limited to: Virtuoso, OpenTable, FS.com, Bahamas.com.
- Manages Google and other search engine platforms.
- Supports CD and DPR with the Hotel’s community relations, CSR initiatives, internal communications and other activities specific to the Hotel and its VIP guests.
- Executes on aligned strategies for SEO, digital marketing, PPC and e-commerce.
- Supports CD and PRD on photo and video shoots to ensure messaging and creative is aligned across all activities.
- Supports CD/PRD and the commercial team with hosting media/industry visits when applicable. This requires some travel to the Resort.
- Supports overall Resort’s strategies and direct marketing/sales efforts participating in tourism office events, roadshows and fundraisers as assigned by CD and DPR.
What You Bring
- A minimum of three to five years' experience in public relations and/or marketing communications desired.
- A university degree in marketing, journalism or communications or equivalent experience in public relations, journalism and/or marketing communications is preferred. Minimum college degree.
- Strong and effective interpersonal skills. Excellent communications skills (verbal and written), a strong sense of quality and a creative mind set.
- Self-starter, set priorities, manage time while detail oriented. Ability to multi-task effectively, managing multiple projects while being cognizant of deadlines and priorities.
- Proficiency in leveraging social media networks and related monitoring tools.
- The ability to create newsworthy events, develop story ideas and follow through with pitch leads and creative digital execution.
- Ability to produce valuable and engaging photo and video content for social media. Photography skills and an eye for Four Seasons brand aesthetic.
- Influencer/media relations experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mobile, emerging and social media.
- Knowledge of InDesign and production methods in graphic arts and collateral.
- Ability to work with third-party agencies, partners, and vendors.
- Office 365 skills

- This position requires flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to work on weekends and festive holidays.
