About The Role
We are seeking a passionate Front-End Developer to join our team. As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for bringing design concepts to life with precision and efficiency. Your work will focus on creating high-quality, responsive, and accessible web experiences. You will play a key role in translating the vision of designers into functional web interfaces while ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience. This role requires strong technical skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of front-end development best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code for websites and web applications.
- Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and backend developers to implement functional, visually appealing, and accessible websites.
- Ensure the websites are optimized for speed and efficiency, providing an optimal experience across different devices and browsers.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving to overcome technical challenges while maintaining design accuracy.
- Ensure that all web projects are WCAG 2 compliant (minimally AA), adhering to accessibility best practices.
- Use tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to retrieve developer specifications and assets.
- Participate in team brainstorming sessions and provide valuable insights that drive project success.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies and trends to continuously improve the development process.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in front-end development, with a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (React, Next.js).
- Proficient in CSS preprocessors (SCSS, Sass, Less) and task runners like Gulp.
- Solid understanding of usability across various device types and browsers.
- Strong knowledge of best practices for web accessibility (WCAG 2 compliance, minimum AA).
- Experience working with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to access design specifications and assets.
- A good eye for design accuracy, consistency, and a strong understanding of improvising when specific design guidelines are not provided.
- Familiarity with Git, version control, and working in collaborative development environments.
- Experience with web performance optimization and working with external APIs is a plus.
- Knowledge of CMS systems like Drupal, WordPress, or Sitecore is a bonus.
