Description Of Work


The digital marketing specialist within the Engineering Communications team will encompass a demonstrated background in digital content and strategic planning and creation for external marketing/advertising, high proficiency in social media postings and analytics, video production and editing, and manage the digital and brand presence within the college’s two campuses in Lincoln and Omaha. This individual will work closely with the college’s various departments, programs, faculty and staff on their digital footprints, as prospective students, peers, industry, alumni and other key audiences are seeking information and engagement from varying areas within the college and university.

Minimum Required Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, advertising, journalism, or related field and at least three years of experience working with strategic media execution across digital, print and social platforms. Experience with website analysis tools such as Google Analytics; photography skills; experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite; use of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Proficiency in creative suite software applications and/or other digital design and video hardware and software tools (e.g., Canva).


Preferred Qualifications


Experience developing and coordinating multimedia packages. Experience delivering a variety of digital assets, including online media ads, micro sites, and social media applications. Experience managing successful social media and marketing campaigns. Proficiency in graphics, web advertising, social media, web content and design, and event planning. Ability to generate, analyze and interpret data.


Posted Salary $50,000/yr. minimum
