Shopify/E-Commerce Web Developer

R+L Carriers has opportunities for candidates interested in E-Commerce Development, and have academic and/or professional experience with PHP and MySQL. Successful candidates will work within the Information Technology Department producing world-class enterprise software applications in support of R+L’s leadership in the transportation & logistics industry. The candidates will be key members of an interdisciplinary team creating user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining applications.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Shopify/E-Commerce Development:
- Build and integrate custom Shopify apps and features to optimize eCommerce functionality.
- Integrate Shopify APIs, third-party and homegrown APIs and services with Shopify app to extend store capabilities.
- Develop and customize Shopify themes based on project requirements.
- Maintain and enhance existing Shopify stores, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create responsive, visually appealing, and optimized Shopify stores.
- Debug and troubleshoot Shopify-related issues (both frontend and backend).
- Develop and customize other e-commerce platform apps (WordPress, Magento, etc.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience working with Shopify, ability to develop Shopify apps, WordPress/WooCommerce plug ins
- 2+ Years’ experience with PHP, PHP Laravel, MySQL, Node.JS
- 2+ Years’ experience in e-commerce development skills
Preferred
- Excellent understanding of B2B and B2C business functionality required
- Knowledge of other major e-commerce platforms such as Magento, Wix etc.
- Experience working with REST and SOAP API
- Experience with GIT version control
- Experience with external hosting such as Fly.IO, Heroku
