Facilities Services Representative - Trenton, ON - On-site - Full-time

 About the Job

The Facility Service Representative (FSR), reporting to the Team Lead of Hospitality Services, is responsible for cleaning non-patient care units, managing waste and linen, performing project work, handling moves, and setting up meeting rooms for hospital events.

Required Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent experience

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Positive attitude with a focus on workplace solutions

• Concern for patient care and comfort

• Ability to follow instructions, perform basic math, and work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Good attendance record and satisfactory job performance

• Capable of heavy lifting, overhead cleaning, and ladder use

• Flexibility to adapt to schedule and work changes

• Safe handling of industrial housekeeping chemicals

• Completion of required training within the probation period

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital housekeeping experience

• Experience with hospital-grade cleaning equipment

• Floor refinishing and carpet cleaning experience

• Industrial laundry experience

• Basic technology skills (computers, pagers, smartphones)

Key Duties

• Perform cleaning of common and non-patient areas, equipment, and external spaces

• Restock supplies and manage laundry inventory, distribution, and ordering

• Operate industrial washers, dryers, and other cleaning equipment

• Collect, transport, and dispose of waste, including confidential waste

• Participate in scheduled cleaning projects and operate waste compactors, shredders, and bailers

• Identify maintenance needs and transport equipment or supplies safely within the hospital
