Customer Service Representative – Matco Tools

About the Job

Customer Service is the critical link between the sales field and Matco Tools corporate offices. You will provide the infrastructure that supports franchised distributors, District Managers, Regional Managers, and commercial customers. This role plays a significant part in driving customer satisfaction by ensuring smooth daily operations.

What You Will Do

• Monitor and respond to emails from internal and external sources

• Review and enter credits submitted by CSRs, field personnel, and suppliers

• Solve problems to reduce waste and increase productivity

• Work with distributors, field, and internal personnel to resolve toolbox warranty claims

• Input orders and credits using internal ordering software systems

• Provide phone coverage in the Customer Service department as needed

• Collaborate with Matco personnel and suppliers to resolve open requests

• Learn and perform new tasks as required

Who You Are

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• 1+ years of experience in the Matco Customer Service department

• Knowledge of internal Matco systems, policies, and procedures

• Local candidates to home office expected to maintain a hybrid work model

Required Competencies

• Basic use of PC and keyboard

• Success profile score per Wonderlic screening test

• Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to interpret and troubleshoot customer issues professionally

• Ability to empathize with customers while maintaining professionalism

• Quick learner with adaptability in a fast-paced office environment

• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and attention to detail skills

• Ability to work independently and handle changes in workload/schedule
