Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
As a Respiratory Customer Care Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and supportive start for patients entering our respiratory care services. You’ll manage incoming orders, assess patient needs, and coordinate the timing of services to deliver the highest level of care. In this role, you’ll serve as the key connection between patients, providers, and our respiratory team—gathering necessary documentation for insurance approvals, troubleshooting equipment concerns over the phone, scheduling appointments, and helping patients stay on track with their prescribed therapy. Responsibilities
- Handles inbound patient calls, utilizing listening skills to ensure patient’s needs and concerns regarding their equipment or services are addressed. Ensures that all requests are handled accurately and efficiently.
- Respond to inquiries about respiratory equipment, supplies, and services.
- Process new equipment orders and ensure proper documentation.
- Verify prescriptions and insurance authorizations for respiratory equipment.
- Schedules patient appointments with the clinical team
Qualifications
Education:
- High School diploma
Minimum Experience:
- 6 months experience in a customer service-based environment.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Strong interpersonal, communication skills and ability to work as a collaborative team member.
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Health insurance knowledge
Other:
- Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
