CloudOps / SysOps Engineer - Azure / On Prem - Lahore, Pakistan

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CloudOps / SysOps Engineer with hands-on experience in managing hybrid infrastructure - combining Microsoft Azure cloud services and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining infrastructure reliability, automating operations, ensuring system security, and supporting deployment pipelines across our hybrid IT landscape. Key Responsibilities Azure Cloud Operations:-Manage and monitor Azure infrastructure including VMs, VNets, Load Balancers, Azure AD, and storage accounts.

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Administer Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and cost management tools.
• Support Azure DevOps pipelines and assist with CI/CD implementations.
• Configure and monitor Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and compliance policies.

On-Premises System Operations

• Maintain Windows and/or Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
• Manage virtualization environments (e.g., Hyper-V or VMware).
• Support on-prem backup solutions, patching, and routine maintenance tasks.

Job Description:

• CloudOps / SysOps Engineer (Azure & On-Prem)- Troubleshoot hardware, storage, and network issues as needed.

General Responsibilities:

• Automate routine system tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Ensure proper monitoring and alerting using tools like Azure Monitor, SCOM, or third-party platforms.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
• Respond to incidents, root cause analysis, and documentation of operational procedures.
• Collaborate with development, security, and support teams to ensure smooth deployments and secure environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in system administration and cloud operations.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services and on-prem Windows infrastructure.
• Hands-on with Azure CLI, Azure Portal, Azure AD, and related services.
• Scripting skills with PowerShell (required), and optionally Bash or Python.
• Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).
• Experience with backup, monitoring, and alerting tools
