Summary Of Position
The Clerk III is directly responsible to the Associate Registrar of Operations and the overall duties and responsibilities of this position are to process requests for students, generate permanent academic records in accordance with institutional and accrediting guidelines, provide general record-keeping support services to students, verify the accuracy of data entry along with scanning and quality control of scanned images, and perform routine clerical tasks.
Minimum Required Education
A high school diploma or GED is required. Certification/successful completion of relevant trade school preferred.
Minimum Required Experience
- Three years of wage-earning clerical experience or certification / successful completion of the relevant trade school and six months of wage-earning clerical experience are required. A copy of certificates and/or college transcripts is required with the application for evaluation purposes.
- Computer terminal experience would be helpful.
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Customer service skills are an absolute necessity.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work with numeric and alpha filing systems.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of student information.
- Ability to learn hands-on and have attention to detail and task-oriented.
- Ability to make frequent independent judgments related to the college's standard policies, practices, and functions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
- Able to use Excel and email on a daily basis.
