Job Summary
The Clerk is a vital and supportive member of the PCSD team, working collaboratively with educators, support staff, and administration to achieve the shared goal of ensuring all students receive the education they need to succeed both today and tomorrow. This role is performed within a school environment, overseen by the school principal, where teamwork and dedication to student success are paramount.
All staff are expected to fully adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, continuously demonstrating a strong understanding of the tasks and responsibilities their roles require. Moreover, they must embody the core belief that every action we take is driven by a commitment to the best interests of our students.

Reports To: Director of New Hope Education Center
Work Schedule: Annual/8.0 hr
Grade/Level: CLSJ/C2608
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Primary Function: Provide support for building administration and perform functions that support the overall operations of the program.

Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and on the telephone
Seeing to read a variety of materials
Sitting for extended periods of time
Bending at the waist, kneeling, or crouching to file materials
Qualifications
Minimum of high school diploma or GED
Skilled in handling information with confidentiality
Excellent telephone and communication skills
Adept in greeting visitors, screening calls, and directing visitors
Ability to answer questions for the public
The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.
Essential Functions
Greets visitors to PCCA office
Directs visitors to correct locations
Gives out appropriate information to staff and the public
Answers telephone in a timely manner and directs calls to the appropriate personnel
Answers general questions for the public
Receives and distributes incoming mail and facsimiles
Assists by providing clerical support as needed and as assigned by supervisor
Assists Director and other PCCA staff with entry of data as needed
Communicates effectively with the public concerning all processes at PCCA
Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee
