The OSP Engineer will create and review OSP designs and engineering documents to support the expansion of Ezee Fiber's state-of-the-art fiber optic network. The OSP engineer will also provide data to support engineering suppliers and other departments at Ezee Fiber. The successful candidate will communicate with field employees, engineering support teams, and construction resources to create OSP engineer designs and design documents. The OSP Engineer must possess a solid understanding of the technology and applicable engineering practices. This position is highly technical and fast-paced, with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities
- Design Fiber Optic OSP facilities using best practices and industry knowledge.
- Review vendor produced designs to ensure they meet strict Ezee Fiber design standards.
- Identify conflicts with existing outside plant facilities, select routing of lines and equipment required for work projects.
- Perform field visits as necessary to collect field data and identify obstacles to construction and validate the constructability of the design.
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photography, and other geographic data for consideration in Fiber Optic design projects.
- Provide weekly reports, updates, and project tracking milestones to internal and external resources as needed.
- Lead successful implementations by meeting timelines and design requirements.
- Provide input on best practices, permit processes, field construction methods, and telecom products.
- Support OSP construction teams as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the effective operation of the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, GIS, or 3-5 years relevant work experience.
- ArcGIS/ESRI Products work experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of FTTH/Telecom industry design principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects coupled with experience in working with fast-paced engineering in a production environment.
- Candidate will need to be a responsible, motivated employee without the need for daily oversights.
- Strong organizational skills.
