Position Summary:
The Accountant II will support the finance and accounting team for PFG. Perform month-end close activities, analyze and verify financial information, and prepare internal financial reports. Reconcile and review general ledger accounts as assigned. Apply accounting knowledge to lead groups on projects. Work internally with employees at all levels in the organization. External contacts may include vendors, banks, and external auditors as needed. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, and, as required, perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for assisting with daily and monthly finance/accounting activities. This may include the functions listed below:
- Complete monthly financial reporting in alignment with internal deadlines.
- Prepare accurate month-end accruals and journal entries.
- Execute reclassifications and account reconciliations.
- Assists with external and internal audit requests as needed.
- Assist with month/year end processes
- Maintain and analyze GRIR Summary reports.
- Assist in preparation of Related Party Consolidation Reports.
- Participate in special projects focused on process improvement and root cause analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- Perform Blackline account analysis and ensure account accuracy.
- Conduct monthly flux analysis to support financial review.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
- Occasional travel may be required

Qualifications
- BS in Accounting or Finance with a required minimum GPA of 3.0
- 0-4 years of experience
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs
