The Musco Information Technology Team is seeking a Power BI Developer to work from our Muscatine or Oskaloosa, Iowa, location. In this role, you will focus on designing, building, and maintaining impactful reporting and dashboard solutions, working closely with business teams to transform data into actionable insights that drive Musco’s success. What will you do as a Power BI Developer (On-site/hybrid in Muscatine or Oskaloosa, IA)
- Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models supporting business needs
- Write DAX measures, create Power Query transformations, and optimize data models
- Work with SQL Server and other data sources to ensure accurate, reliable reporting
- Gather requirements, recommend solutions, and deliver user-friendly visualizations
- Support data governance, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Need To Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related fields. Or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience with Power BI development and data modeling
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint, or Power Platform
- Preferred, not required Microsoft Certificates in Data Analyst Associate (Exam PL-300), Power Platform Fundamentals (Exam PL-900), Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (Exam DP-600), Fabric Data Engineer Associate (Exam DP-700)
- Strong skills in DAX, Power Query M, and SQL fundamentals
- Solid understanding of visualization best practices and business requirements gathering
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based industries
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Proven success working on multiple initiatives
- Ability to work confidentially with data
