The Marketing Assistant is part of a dynamic team focused on industrial and commercial pursuits, and creative engagement with the Catamount brand through marketing and communications programs within the business unit. You will support the work of the marketing and estimating team directed at delivering on sales strategies or marketing campaigns. Your excellent time management skills, attention to detail, process ownership, and effective coordination will be the hallmark of your work.


What You Will Do In This Role


Undertake general administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities including:


  • Identify and assist in preparation of Bid Deliverables in coordination with Sr. Marketing Coordinator
  • Compose and deliver the BU specific newsletter and other communications
  • Assist in organizing promotional events within the business unit.
  • Learn the proposal process, manage pursuits, AIAs, and information requests (RFP, RFQ, etc.)
  • Update and maintain estimating spreadsheets and databases with statistical information
  • Set up projects/bids in SharePoint and BuildingConnected
  • Print plans, specs, Geotech and bidding documents from original email or RFP requests (using Bluebeam (REVU) or Adobe inhouse printing or sending out to professional printer)
  • Managing and updating Traveling Bidders List in BuildingConnected
  • Set up and manage subcontractor prequalification folders, monitor incoming Subcontractor bids, and manage subcontractor database and sortable area
  • Support miscellaneous estimating tasks and projects related to proposals and bid process as required



As a critical team member, you’ll develop and maintain relationships with estimating and marketing teams, leadership, business development, and technical staff, and communicate and collaborate within the marketing team across the company nationally. You’ll also realize that within the dynamic marketing environment, sometimes we take an “all hands-on deck” approach, and assist or lead short-notice efforts to contribute to the team’s overall success, even if it falls outside your normal job duties.


What kind of person are we looking for? Someone with:


  • A positive, enthusiastic “team player” attitude
  • Ability to self-start, work independently, and keep to your own internal deadlines
  • Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
  • Knowledge of database concepts
  • Ability to excel under pressure, skilled in time management and multi-tasking to produce results in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, writing, interpersonal) with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad group of stakeholders to foster trust and partnership
  • Prefer experience within the Architecture/Engineering/ Construction (AEC) Industry
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency with Word Processing and design software
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Operating knowledge of InDesign is required.

Compensation


In addition to offering competitive base pay, Catamount employees are eligible for additional incentives for merit/performance, project incentives*, new hire referrals, and business development commissions. *Project incentives are limited to certain roles in Operations
