About The Role
At Interactive Strategies, our developers are the glue that unites great design with solid technology. We're looking for candidates who understand that front-end development is about more than just technical skills; it's about creativity and attention to detail. We involve our developers in all aspects of our projects, so we're seeking self-starters and passionate thinkers who can provide valuable ideas up front and ensure that design concepts can be implemented effectively. We don’t use bloated frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation and pride ourselves on delivering lean, sleek web experiences. Attention to user experience, quality assurance, and accessibility is important.

While we value your front-end development skills, your ability to thrive in our environment is equally as important. We're looking for a candidate with the following characteristics:

- Curiosity to learn about new web technologies and approaches

Requirements
We care most about the passion and talent you bring to the table. That said, the role requires:
- Demonstrated knowledge of standards-compliant, responsive HTML & CSS
- Experience with vanilla JavaScript, React, and/or Next.js
- Strong understanding of usability across device types and browsers
- Awareness of accessibility best practices (WCAG 2 AA minimum)
- Experience with CSS preprocessors (SCSS/Sass/Less) and Gulp
- Proficiency using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to retrieve specs and assets
- A strong eye for design consistency and layout accuracy

- Link to your portfolio site or PDF
- List of 3–5 websites you contributed to, with URLs and your role
- Link to your GitHub, highlighting relevant repos and your contributions
Nice-to-Have Experience (Not Required But Preferred)
- Design experience
- Git, Yarn/npm, Composer
- Gulp/Webpack/Vite
- CMS experience (Drupal, WordPress, Sitecore)
- Backend skills (PHP/MySQL)
- Working with APIs and data fetching
