Sanimax is looking to hire a Dispatcher for the 2nd shift. The schedule is Monday thru Friday from 2 pm to 10:30 pm, with a rotating schedule to work every 4th Saturday which would be half a day.

Position Summary:

The dispatcher is the communication and information center within the transportation department. This position is responsible for both internal and external customer service, recording transportation data, controlling who is allowed on the premises and directing and troubleshooting day-to-day transportation activities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• External customer service- answering calls from customers and helping to provide guidance and solutions
• Assists with scheduling customer pickups and maintains up-to-date knowledge of route
• Provides professional and courteous direction to drivers.
• Troubleshooting and implementing solutions for any transportation issues that may arise (including breakdowns, delays, and schedule changes
• Records and audits transportation data using Microsoft based software
• Control incoming/outgoing traffic verifying proper documentation of trucks and ensuring visitors are authorized and expected
• Participant in transportation Safety Committee, driver safety training, and ensures implementation of all safety initiatives within the site

Skills and qualifications:

• Excellent Communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to identify issues and troubleshoot
• Working knowledge of DOT requirements
• Experience working with Microsoft Office- including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
