Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking a skilled overhead Crane Operator to join our manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina.

Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary
Location: 250 Swathmore Ave High Point, NC 27263
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes, such as overhead cranes to lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and components as needed.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on the crane and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Interpret load charts and rigging diagrams to determine load capacities, rigging configurations, and lifting procedures.
- Coordinate with supervisors, riggers, and other team members to plan and execute lifting operations safely and efficiently.
- Inspect lifting attachments, slings, and rigging hardware for defects or damage before each lift and report any issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
- Monitor crane operations closely to ensure safe and precise movement of loads, adjusting crane controls as needed to maintain stability and control.
- Communicate effectively with ground crew, spotters, and other personnel involved in lifting operations to coordinate movements and ensure safety.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of cranes and related equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor adjustments, to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in training programs to improve skills and knowledge related to crane operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management to support the overall goals and objectives of the company.
Education Requirements/Qualifications:
- Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required.
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
- Valid crane operator certification or license.
- Proven experience as a crane operator in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong understanding of crane operation principles, load dynamics, and rigging techniques.
- Ability to interpret load charts, rigging diagrams, and other technical documents.
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
- Ability to speak and read either English or Spanish required
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work at heights
- Attention to detail and accuracy in crane operation and load handling.
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
