DESCRIPTION: Responsible for overseeing all functions of the ED Admissions Department staff to ensure patient safety and satisfaction as it relates to registration and admission, and to optimize the facility's financial performance. Position performs a full range of assignments under the supervision of the Director. Applicant must demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the employees, patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their personal health information. Employee must demonstrates reliable attendance and professional behavior. Applicant is responsible for enforcing health care policies, managing scheduling, and addressing patient concerns. Incumbent will be responsible for insuring the accuracy of all data collected in the admissions process.
Minimum Requirements: Proven leadership experience; advanced Admission Clerical experience or other related work experience; Past experience with health care insurance payers. Open compassionate communication skills, advanced knowledge of health insurance, efficient work processes and understanding of health care billing practices, understanding of front to back end errors and the cause and effect.
